Kirilenko leads Jazz over Nuggets
Andrei Kirilenko scored 22 points and Carlos Boozer had 19 points and 13 rebounds in his return to the lineup as the Utah Jazz won their eighth straight, beating the short-handed Denver Nuggets 116-106 on Saturday night.
The Jazz pulled within two games of the Nuggets in the Northwest Division and avoided a four-game sweep by Denver, which sat Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups for the second straight visit to Utah.
Even without their top two players, the Nuggets were able to cut a 17-point deficit to three early in the fourth quarter before Utah put the game away.

Carmelo Anthony scored 30 points and pulled down eight rebounds, and rookie Ty Lawson factored big into a dominating fourth quarter for the Nuggets, as Denver opened its season with a 114-105 win over the Utah Jazz.
Chauncey Billups tallied 25 points and Lawson, the 18th overall pick in this year's draft, netted 11 of his 17 points in the last quarter for Denver. Kenyon Martin tallied 16 points and 11 boards.
Nene chipped in with 16 points for Denver, which has made the playoffs six straight years and lost to the eventual NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers in six games in the Western Conference finals.

Paul Millsap scored 14 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, as the Utah Jazz continued their home dominance against the Los Angeles Clippers with a 111-98 victory at EnergySolutions Arena.
The Jazz have won 13 straight and 39 of the last 40 against the Clippers in Salt Lake City. Los Angeles' last win at Utah was a 96-89 triumph on Jan. 22, 2003.
Carlos Boozer had 20 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for Utah, which lost, 114-105, to Denver on Wednesday. Deron Williams added 21 points and nine assists. Ronnie Brewer ended with 17 points and five rebounds for the victors.

Ty Lawson tied a career-high with 23 points and set a new career-best with nine assists, leading the shorthanded Nuggets to a 105-95 win over division rival Utah at EnergySolutions Arena.
Lawson was a scintillating 9-of-14 from the floor for the Nuggets, who played without Carmelo Anthony (knee) and Chauncey Billups (hamstring). Denver had lost six straight on the road and five of six, overall.
Denver used turnovers and their fast-break offense to dominate Utah, forcing 26 Jazz mishaps and turning them into 33 points. In addition, the Nuggets had 24 fast-break points to Utah's 12.

Recap: Golden State vs. New Orleans
Anthony Morrow scored 34 points in playing all 48 minutes, and the Golden State Warriors crushed the New Orleans Hornets, 126-92, in preseason action at ORACLE Arena.
Morrow hit 13-of-19 shots from the field for the Warriors, who finished their preseason schedule with a record of 4-4. Golden State will open up its regular season schedule Wednesday at home against Houston.
Corey Maggette added 23 points, while Monta Ellis had 18 for the victors, who had only eight players dressed for the game. Stephen Curry added 14 points, 10 assists and six rebounds off the bench, although he played over 38 minutes.
