The San Antonio Spurs will wrap up a quick two-game road trip tonight against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

The Spurs have won four of their last five games, including Saturday's 112-97 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center. Tim Duncan scored 26 points and Tony Parker added 16 points and eight assists for San Antonio, which is 4-6 away from the Alamo City this season.

Manu Ginobili posted 13 points and eight assists, while Antonio McDyess chipped in 14 points and Richard Jefferson scored 11 in the win.

Miami Heat (16-13) at San Antonio Spurs (18-11), 7 p.m.

The San Antonio Spurs aim for their fourth straight win Thursday, when they close out a short homestand versus the Miami Heat at the AT&T Center.

The Spurs opened the residency with Tuesday's 117-99 triumph over the Minnesota Timberwolves, as Richard Jefferson led the victors with 24 points and Roger Mason netted 18. Manu Ginobili added 14 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds for the Spurs, who have won six of their last seven games overall and improved to 13-5 as the host.

"I don't know if it was because of my energy but I felt we played an overall good game," Ginobili said. "The first half wasn't that good defensively, but in the second half we stepped up and moved the ball really well, and when we do that everyone feels good and everyone hustles and it's a different mood."

Rockets waive veteran G Barry

The Houston Rockets on Friday waived veteran guard Brent Barry.

Barry averaged 3.7 points, 1.4 assists and shot 37.4 percent (49-of-131) from three-point range in 56 games last season, his lone campaign with the Rockets.

A two-time champion with the San Antonio Spurs in 2004-05 and 2006-07, Barry has also logged stints with the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and Seattle SuperSonics.

Michael Finley poured in 20 points as San Antonio downed Oklahoma City, 119-102, in preseason action.

DeJuan Blair contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds and George Hill added 16 for the Spurs. Tony Parker and Richard Jefferson each tallied 13 points for San Antonio, which shot 56.8 percent from the field.

Jeff Green posted a game-best 24 points for the Thunder, who got 23 points and nine boards from Kevin Durant in the loss. James Harden posted 17 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Charlotte Bobcats (12-18) at Miami Heat (16-14), 3:30 p.m.

Southeast Division rivals meet in the shadow of South Beach Saturday when the Miami Heat play host to the Charlotte Bobcats.

The Heat, who are opening a three-game homestand this afternoon, are coming off a winless two-game road trip. In its most recent affair in San Antonio on Thursday, Tim Duncan finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds, as the Spurs handed Miami its most lopsided loss of the season, a 108-78 drubbing.

Michael Beasley had 26 points and eight rebounds to pace Miami, which was held to a season-low in points. Dwyane Wade was limited to 16 points on 6-of-18 shooting and had seven turnovers to six assists.
