Andre Miller had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists, as the Portland Trail Blazers edged Denver, 98-96, in preseason action.

Greg Oden recorded 16 points before fouling out, while Brandon Roy added 12 for the Blazers. Jerryd Bayless scored 11 and Juwan Howard 10 in the win. Joel Przybilla brought down 11 rebounds and scored six points.

Carmelo Anthony had a game-high 21 points to go with seven boards for the Nuggets, who got 13 points from Nene.
