Now here's the sort of possession the Bobcats never had in their previous rebound-deprived days:

In the first quarter, they got a free throw and four field-goal attempts out of the same possession. Three offensive rebounds, a defensive 3-second violation by the Bulls and a foul by Chicago's Derrick Rose added up to three Charlotte points.

Coach Larry Brown used to joke last season that then-rookie Alexis Ajinca had the capacity to foul out in warm-ups. Ajinca played in the first half Saturday, and made Brown's point by committing a foul in his first 16 seconds.

Speaking of fouls, Vlade Radmanovic is struggling with them. Fouls limited him to 81/2 minutes versus Atlanta Friday and then he picked up four more in the first half versus the Bulls.

Brown talks a lot these days about the importance of including center Tyson Chandler in the offense. That happened against the Hawks, but certainly not against the Bulls in the first half. Chandler didn't even take a shot until two minutes into the third quarter. Granted, he only played six minutes in the first half, but he still has to be more involved at both ends.
