The surging San Antonio Spurs hope to build on an impressive win over the defending NBA champions when they open a four-game road trip tonight against the much-improved Oklahoma City Thunder.

The red-hot Spurs waxed the Los Angles Lakers, 105-85, in the Alamo City last night. Tim Duncan scored a game-high 25 points with 13 rebounds in the rout.

Tony Parker added 22 points with six assists, while George Hill provided a spark with 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting and six assists in the win. San Antonio assisted on 29-of-47 made baskets and took advantage of a hobbled Kobe Bryant, who was suffering from back spasms.

Oklahoma City Thunder (4-4) at San Antonio Spurs (4-3), 8:30 p.m.

The San Antonio Spurs hope to close out a three-game homestand with a perfect record, as they host the Oklahoma City Thunder this evening from the AT&T Center.

San Antonio has won the first two tests of the residency after a two-game losing streak, and is coming off Wednesday's 92-83 victory over the rival Dallas Mavericks. Richard Jefferson had a season-high 29 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Spurs, who played without Tim Duncan and Tony Parker because of ankle injuries.

"Even though we were struggling to hit shots, we did a pretty good job of defending," Jefferson said.

Tony Parker added 28 points and eight assists, while George Hill chipped in 16 points in the club's third straight win. Jefferson ended with 13 points for the victors.

The San Antonio Spurs have a good chance at getting back into the win column when they pay a visit to the Southwest Division-foe Memphis Grizzlies tonight at FedEx Forum.

San Antonio, which had a three-game winning streak stopped with Friday's 92-76 setback at Charlotte, has won five straight and 15 of the past 18 meetings with the Grizzlies. The Spurs are also unbeaten in their previous two trips to Memphis.

In last night's loss to the Bobcats, rookie DeJuan Blair had 11 points and a game-best 16 rebounds for the Spurs, who were coming off a 109-108 overtime decision at Oklahoma City on Wednesday and are 1-1 on a four-game road trip. Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and George Hill scored 11 points apiece, while Tim Duncan, who was given the night off against the Thunder, ended with 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
