Simonas Bilis of the N.C. State men’s swimming & diving team was named ACC Male Swimmer of the Week for the second consecutive week, as announced Tuesday by the conference.
Bilis swept the three sprint freestyle events for the second straight weekend to help the Wolfpack men earn victories against Florida State and Georgia Tech. He recorded two NCAA ‘B’ cuts on the day, as he finished first in the 50 (20.00 seconds), 100 (44.35) and the 200 (1 minute, 36.52 seconds) events.
Bilis continues to lead the nation with a 200 free time of 1:36.52, while ranking fastest in the conference in the 50 freestyle with a 19.96. In addition, his time of 43.74 in the 100 free ranks second in the nation and fastest in the ACC.
Men’s Golf
Duke: The Blue Devils concluded their fall season with a 12th-place finish at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Fort Worth, Texas. The Blue Devils carded a final-round 372 in the six-count-five format event to finish with a 70-over-par 1,135.
Oklahoma State claimed the title with a 15-over 1,080.
Baylor’s Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen grabbed medalist honors with a 6-under 207.
Senior Turner Southey-Gordon posted a team-best 72 (1 over) in the final round to tie for 37th with an 11-over 224. Jake Shuman, a freshman, also tied for 37th for the Blue Devils.
Women’s Golf
Campbell: Tahnia Ravnjak and Louise Latorre finished among the top 25 individuals and Campbell placed seventh in the team standings at the Palmetto Intercollegiate at Turtle Point Golf Club in Kiawah Island, S.C.
Ravnjak (223) tied for 20th and Latorre tied for 25th (224) to lead the 31st-ranked Camels, who shot 905 to finish one stroke ahead of No. 42 Kansas State (–906) in the 20-school field.
Volleyball
East Carolina: East Carolina hit .311 and posted 11 total team blocks as the Pirates won in straight sets over Maryland-Eastern Shore by scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-20.
East Carolina improved to 11-9. Maryland-Eastern Shore fell to 10-14.
