Cameron Indoor Stadium this evening, as the Boston College Eagles tussle with
the 10th-ranked Duke Blue Devils from Durham. BC was last in play on Tuesday,
when it used a three-pointer at the buzzer to defeat Florida State 85-82. It
was the seventh win in the past eight games by the Eagles, who improved to
14-5 overall. The victory also kept the team, coming into the weekend, a half-
game ahead of both North Carolina and Virginia Tech for first place in the ACC
at 6-1. As for Duke, it took on Clemson on Thursday and thanks to a little
help from the officials and a layup at the buzzer, it was able to escape
with a 68-66 triumph. It was team's 20th straight win over Clemson and its

Eagles will try to pick up the pieces and rebound against the Florida State
Seminoles in ACC play tonight. The Eagles ripped off five straight wins to
open league play, but that streak came to an abrupt end on Saturday, when they
were pounded at nationally-ranked Clemson 74-54. It was the most lopsided loss
of the season for BC, which had a six-game winning streak stopped in the
process. Now at a still solid 13-5 overall, the Eagles return back home, where
they have posted a 10-2 record, including a perfect 3-0 mark in league play.
As for FSU, it rebounded from an 0-3 start to conference play by posting back-
to-back wins over Virginia Tech (82-73) and Miami-Florida (86-67) this past
week. The wins improved the Seminoles to a solid 14-5 overall, as they now
head out to the road, where they have gone just 2-4 this season. FSU and BC
met for the first time ever on the hardwood last season, with the Eagles
posting a 90-87 triumph.

conference play however, as Clemson has dropped back-to-back games to Maryland
(92-87) and most recently, North Carolina (77-55). Clemson leads the series
