Gabriel Saade went 5-for-5 with a home run, and Tim Sherlock mashed his first long ball of the season and drove in a career-high four RBIs to lead Duke to a 10-3 win over 17th-ranked Georgia Tech in the series finale Sunday afternoon in Atlanta.

The five hits from Saade were also a career high as the sophomore second baseman contributed three singles, a double and a home run while driving in three runs and crossing the plate twice. Sherlock went 2-for-4 on the day with a three-run homer, a double and two runs. He also contributed an RBI with a squeeze bunt in the eighth inning. Duke (19-5, 4-5 ACC) churned out 10 runs from their 11 hits to avert a series sweep by the Yellow Jackets.

Freshman starter Grant Monroe (4-1) earned the win after holding Georgia Tech (17-5, 5-4 ACC) to three runs on seven hits over five innings.

UNC 19, MARYLAND 1: Right fielder Tim Fedroff belted his first career grand slam and drove in a career-high six runs, and third baseman Chad Flack added a grand slam and five RBIs in No. 3 North Carolina's 19-1 win over Maryland.

The Tar Heels (18-4, 7-2 ACC) scored five runs in the fourth, seven in the sixth and five in the eighth to help take their eighth straight series from the Terps (11-11, 2-7 ACC).

HOUSTON 8, EAST CAROLINA 5: Blake Kelso collected a game-high four hits, and Bryan Pounds drove in three runs as Houston walked away with an 8-5 victory and a 2-1 series win over No. 23 East Carolina in Conference USA play Sunday afternoon in Greensboro.

Bryan Tully picked up his first win of the season for the Cougars (14-7, 2-1 C-USA) after allowing one hit over four innings with three walks and four strikeouts. Houston starter Donnie Johnson went 4 1/3 innings and had a no-hitter going until the bottom of the fifth.

Justin Bristow dropped his first game at ECU (15-6, 1-2 C-USA) falling to 3-1 on the season.

N.C. CENTRAL 3-4, ST. AUGUSTINE'S 2-0: Clutch hitting and shut- down pitching led the way as N.C. Central swept a doubleheader with from former CIAA rival St. Augustine's at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

In the opener, the score was tied at 2-2 heading into extra innings. Kyle Davis came through for the Eagles (6-15) with the winning RBI single to provide NCCU with a 3-2 victory. Douglas Dailey got the win, allowing five hits and striking out 11.

In the nightcap, NCCU freshman Brandon Oatis pitched a four-hit shutout with six strikeouts to lead the Eagles to a 4-0 victory over the Falcons (11-14).

CLEMSON 2, N.C. STATE 0: Freshman righthander Graham Stoneburner pitched a two-hit shutout as Clemson blanked host N.C. State in front of 4,546 fans at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Tigers, who won the series 2-1, improved to 14-7 overall and 4-5 in the ACC. N.C. State fell to 13-7 overall and 4-5 in ACC play.

Stoneburner (4-0) allowed just two hits, both singles, with seven strikeouts to earn the win and record Clemson's first individual shutout since June 4, 2005.
