Ryan McCurdy drove in the tying run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, and Jeremy Gould came up with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to lift Duke to a 7-6 win over visiting Brown on Tuesday afternoon at Jack Coombs Field.After trailing 6-5 since the fifth inning, Duke (20-5) was down to its last out in the bottom of the ninth before McCurdy came through with a clutch line-drive single to left field. The hit scored Gabriel Saade, who had walked and stolen second.In the 10th, Duke combined singles by Tim Sherlock, Matt Williams and Gould to win it.Batting cleanup for the first time in his two-year career, Saade accounted for three of Duke's runs and hammered his second homer in two games.ALSO TUESDAYNO. 3 UNC 12, DAVIDSON 6: Chad Flack and Garrett Gore each had three hits and three RBIs, and North Carolina scored in double figures for the third straight game in beating Davidson at Cary's USA Baseball National Training Complex.The Tar Heels (19-4) have combined for 44 runs and 54 hits in their last three wins.Flack went 3-for-4 with two doubles, while Gore was 3-for-5 with his first home run of the season, a three-run shot in the second inning.N.C. Central freshman Douglas Dalley has been named the BlackCollegeBaseball.com Pitcher of the Week after his performance during the week of March 17-23.Dalley, from Southern Durham High, appeared in four games last week without allowing an earned run. He posted a 2-0 record in two starts and two one-inning relief stints.
