N.C. State point guard Farnold Degand, who tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on Dec. 23, is on schedule to return to the court by the time practice starts in October, a team spokesman said earlier this week.He will not play during the team's exhibition games in Toronto in late August and is currently running in the pool as part of his rehabilitation."His rehab has actually been very good," N.C. State coach Sidney Lowe said during a news conference last month. "It's actually ahead of pace, so he's doing pretty good, and we're hoping it's not going to affect who he is, which is quickness and speed."That's his advantage. So we're just hoping for the best on that. So right now he's doing pretty good."
