RALEIGH - So you're going to the spring football game at N.C. State today but aren't sure what to expect.

Wolfpack coach Tom O'Brien prefers a game to a controlled scrimmage, saying, "Something always happens within the framework of the game that you just can't simulate on the practice field, even though you try."

"Every year," he added, "something comes up that I think is real good for the football team one way or another."
