After 19 consecutive victories for North Carolina, Adam Warren finally ran into a baseball team he couldn't beat Saturday night.

Third-ranked Florida State knocked out Warren (6-1) in the third inning en route to a 13-5 victory over host North Carolina, evening their three-game series with the No. 2-ranked Tar Heels.

The rubber match is scheduled for 1 p.m. today at the USA Baseball National Complex in Cary.

Warren, a junior right-hander, dropped to 19-1 in his career. He allowed five runs on seven hits in the second-shortest outing of his career.

The Seminoles (35-6, 19-4 ACC) scored five runs in the third, three in the sixth and four in the eighth to rout the Heels (37-8, 17-5).

Dennis Quinn had four hits for FSU, including three doubles. Dustin Ackley went 3-for-4 to lead UNC's 11-hit attack.

N.C. STATE 3, BOSTON COLLEGE 2: Host N.C. State (29-13, 14-8 ACC) used an opportunistic offense and stout pitching to win its second straight over Boston College (20-23, 5-18).

Wolfpack left-hander Eric Surkamp (4-2) pitched into the sixth inning and allowed a run on three hits to earn the win. Joey Cutler and Jimy Gillheeney allowed one run in four combined innings, with Gillheeney earning his 10th save of the season.

The Pack scored its runs on an error, a bases-loaded walk and a passed ball.

EAST CAROLINA 11-3, PRESBYTERIAN 2-0: Justin Bristow fired a complete-game four-hitter in the second game as host East Carolina (32-13) swept Presbyterian (12-30).

Bristow (6-2) retired 24 of the first 27 Blue Hose batters he faced before giving up two hits with two outs in the ninth. He finished with nine strikeouts in pitching his second complete game this season.

Corey Kemp went 3-for-4 in the opener for the Pirates.

DUKE 10, MARYLAND 2: Christopher Manno held Maryland to two runs over a career-high eight innings to lead host Duke (30-14-1, 7-14-1 ACC) past Maryland (26-20, 8-15)

The Blue Devils reached the 30-win mark for the first time since 1998.

Manno (5-0) struck out seven and walked none while scattering six hits on the way to his second straight ACC victory and lowered his ERA to 2.78.

Duke hammered a season-high three home runs in the win, with Nate Freiman, Jonathan Nicolla and Tom Luciano all going deep.

GEORGIA TECH 14, WAKE FOREST 6: Thomas Nichols drove in five runs with three hits, including a grand slam, to lead host Georgia Tech (31-12, 12-11 ACC) over Wake Forest (16-27, 7-15).

The Jackets won the three-game weekend series, their first series triumph since the last weekend in March.

KENNESAW STATE 9, CAMPBELL 8 (11): Visiting Kennesaw State (24-22, 15-9 Atlantic Sun) scored the winning run on a two-out balk call in the 11th inning.

Campbell (17-28, 10-17 A-Sun) set a season high in hits with 17, but left 16 runners on base.

Camels senior Brandon Scott stole two bases to break the Campbell career stolen-base record of 72 set by Nic Carter.

LOUISBURG 6-4, GUILFORD TECH 0-2: Matt Little improved to 7-0 with a four-hit shutout in the opener as the host Hurricanes (39-10, 24-8 Region X) swept Guilford Tech.

In the opener, Dustin Johnson and Lukas Egetmeyer had two hits apiece for the Hurricanes.

In the second game, Caleb Cuevas (5-1) and Sheldon Johnson combined on a four-hitter.

CHOWAN 5-12, N.C. CENTRAL 3-2: David Scott had three hits as NCCU (6-28) was swept in a doubleheader at Chowan (26-17), going 2-for-4 in the second game.
