WHEN: 9:30 p.m. today

TV: Time Warner 256, 1052, 1062 (HD)

RADIO: WDNC-620

RECORDS: Indiana 25-7, 14-4 Big Ten; Arkansas 22-11, 9-7 SEC

WHAT TO WATCH

Indiana wants to temper the Razorbacks' swift tempo. Besides looking for easy transition baskets, Arkansas must limit Hoosiers guard Eric Gordon and big man D.J. White.

KEY PLAYERS

White, a 6-foot-9, 251-pound senior, is a heavyweight with knockout ability. He is averaging 17.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and shooting 60.4 percent. Weems paces the Hogs with a 14.3 average on a 45.3 percent touch and is a bandit on defense, with 42 steals.

Dan Dakich took over for Indiana just six games ago, after the removal of Kelvin Sampson over recruiting problems. He's 3-3 since. Don't be surprised if a former leader of the free world is in the building tonight. Bill Clinton is campaigning for his wife in Cary until early evening -- there'll be time to see his favorite team.

WHAT TO WATCH

Mount St. Mary's coach Milan Brown made a tactical switch during the season, going to a more up-tempo style that triggered a big turnaround for his team.

Even though his Mountaineers will be playing the fastest-paced team in the country, Brown indicated he won't drastically modify the pace.

Ultimately, Brown figures the game will be won in the paint -- scoring and rebounding and on transition layups.

A No. 16 seed has never beaten a No. 1 seed, but Brown said, "We'll come with our rock and slingshot."

KEY PLAYERS

UNC point guard Ty Lawson (12.4 ppg, 5.5 apg) is still trying to get his footing back after missing six games with a sprained left ankle. The Mountaineers also have a speedster -- former Charlotte Providence Day star Jeremy Goode (14.5, 5.5), who competed against Lawson in two AAU games.

North Carolina is 5-1 in four previous NCAA Tournament appearances in Raleigh and is 21-1 in NCAA Tournament games played in North Carolina.
