STAYING MUM?
Several players in the Roy Williams era at UNC have used tonight's ceremony to confirm their decisions to stay -- but none have ever announced their intentions to leave.
A breakdown:
* Last season, Hansbrough and Lawson both announced they would stay at UNC during the ceremony; freshman forward Brandan Wright held a news conference 13 days later to announce his intention to leave.
* In 2006, Hansbrough announced in a news release before the ceremony that he would return.
* In 2005, all of the Tar Heels' underclassmen were silent about their decisions at the event; instead, Rashad McCants held a news conference the following day and Sean May, Raymond Felton and Marvin Williams held one 11 days later to announce their decisions to turn pro early.
* In 2004, May, Felton and McCants all announced immediately after the awards ceremony that they were staying.
