PROBABLE PITCHING MATCHUPS

JUSTIN MILLER

FSU, JR., RHP, 6-4, 4.88 ERA

Senior Clayton Allison, the Bulldogs' No. 2 pitcher since ace Tanner Scheppers was sidelines last month, was supposed to get the start. But tendinitis is Allison's right shoulder means he'll only be available for a short relief stint -- if that.

ADAM WARREN

UNC, JR., RHP, 9-1, 4.07 ERA

Warren, who has a 22-1 career record, picked up two wins in the CWS a year ago. He gave up two runs in six innings during a victory over Coastal Carolina in the Super Regionals, and is 3-0 with a 2.22 career ERA in seven postseason appearances.

FAST PITCHES

* Fresno State, making its fourth College World Series appearance and first since 1991, is the lowest seed to ever reach the CWS (it was seeded fourth in its regional; UNC, by comparison, is the No. 2 national seed and was seeded tops in its region).

* UNC senior outfielder Seth Williams has hit safely in 28 of his 32 career NCAA tournament games. He has nine RBIs in six NCAA tournament games this season.
