While North Carolina coach Mike Fox has been the center of much media attention during his team's third straight trip to the College World Series, he's also been busy doing his own interviews, too.

Fox once again is schlepping his small video camera from experience to experience in Omaha, keeping a diary of moments he will eventually copy and give to each of his players.

At the team's autograph session Friday, he could be found standing on a chair, getting a panoramic shot of the hundreds of fans that lined up to get signatures.

"Coach, we're supposed to be getting pictures of you!" several parents exclaimed.

At practice Monday, he turned the camera on reporters.

"Who's your favorite person to interview -- besides me?" he asked one, laughing.

ESPN's cameras caught him with his camera the other night, and he's also been recording team dinners and bus rides.

The team has its own videographer along this year, too. But Fox -- who also played for Carolina in the CWS in 1978 -- likes to keep his own record.

"You have to enjoy this, you have to take it all in,'' he said. "Because you never know if you're going to be out here, again."
