Choi birdies 18th for second LPGA win

Na Yeon Choi birdied the 18th hole on Sunday to capture her second win of the season at the Hana Bank-KOLON Championship.

Playing in her native South Korea, Choi fired a five-under 67 in the final round and finished at 10-under 206, one shot ahead of Yani Tseng and Maria Hjorth.

Choi, who claimed her first career LPGA Tour win in September at the Samsung World Championship, became only the third player with at least two victories this season.

Tseng, Choi share top spot in South Korea

Yani Tseng posted a two-under 70 Saturday and shares the lead with Na Yeon Choi after two rounds of the Hana Bank - KOLON Championship.

Choi posted a one-under 71 in round two. Tseng and Choi completed 36 holes at five-under-par 139.

Maria Hjorth managed an even-par 72, while Jimin Kang carded a one-over 73. They are tied for third at minus-four.

Francella, Grzebien share lead in South Korea

Meaghan Francella and Anna Grzebien both fired six-under 66s Friday to share a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Hana Bank - KOLON Championship.

Six players are one stroke back at minus-five, while 44 of the 71 players broke par in the opening round on the Ocean Course at Sky 72 Golf Club.

Jiyai Shin posted a five-under 67 Friday and she stands alongside Bo-Kyung Kim, Jimin Kang, Vicky Hurst, Catriona Matthew and Pat Hurst.

Ochoa three ahead; Thompson stumbles in Alabama

Defending champion Lorena Ochoa fired a six- under 66 on Saturday and moved into sole possession of the lead after the third round of the Navistar LPGA Classic.

Ochoa finished at 16-under 200 and is three strokes clear of Sandra Gal, who also managed a 66 on Saturday, at The Senator Course at Capitol Hill Golf Club.

Janice Moodie and Brittany Lang both had rounds of four-under 68 and are tied for third place at 12-under 204.

Ochoa cruises to repeat win in Alabama

Lorena Ochoa closed with a two-under 70 on Sunday to successfully defend her title at the Navistar LPGA Classic.

Ochoa finished four strokes clear of the field at 18-under-par 270 on The Senator Course at Capitol Hill Golf Club.

"It's been not the easiest second part of year for me," admitted Ochoa, who earned $195,000 for the win. "But the way I played the last few weeks and winning today, it means a lot. I've been working hard, and I guess I'm proud, because it's just a good feeling."
