Michelle Wie won her first LPGA Tour title, fulfilling the promise of a decade with a 3-under 69 Sunday for a two-stroke victory over Paula Creamer in the Lorena Ochoa Invitational at Guadalajara, Mexico.

Wie finished off the victory in style, hitting a greenside bunker shot to 6 inches on the 18th hole and then tapping in for a birdie.

"It's definitely off by my back," she said. "I think that hopefully life will be a lot better, but I still have a lot of work to do."

Wie, 20, raised both arms -- her putter in her right hand -- and then put a hand over her mouth. After pulling the ball out of the hole, she turned to the gallery, looked to the sky and let out a big sigh of relief.

Wie first qualified for a USGA event at age 10 and played an LPGA event when she was 12. After all the expectations, her long wait was over.

"Wowww-w-w ...... never thought this would feel THIS great!!!!" she posted on her Twitter account.

Solheim Cup teammates Morgan Pressel and Creamer showered Wie on the 18th green after the winning putt.

Her parents, dad B.J. and mom Bo, were there, too, for an embrace.

Pressel (67), Jiyai Shin (71) and Cristie Kerr (72) were three back. Wie finished at 13-under 275 after starting the day at the Guadalajara Country Club tied for the lead with Kerr at 10 under.

ALSO SUNDAY

Australian Masters: Tiger Woods gave the record crowds in Melbourne, Australia, everything they could have wanted with his victory Sunday, except a definitive answer when he would return.

"I promise it won't be as long," Woods said to yet another warm ovation at Kingston Heath.

Woods last competed in Australia at the 1998 Presidents Cup.

Woods took the lead for good with a 7-iron to within four feet for a birdie on the fifth hole, and he hardly missed a shot the rest of the way for a 4-under 68 and a two-shot win over Australia's Greg Chalmers.

He won for the 82nd time worldwide. Woods has a trophy from every continent where golf is played. Australia, the 13th country where he has won an individual event, had been the missing link.

Children's Miracle Network Classic: Stephen Ames, 45, won his second title in three years, edging George McNeill and Justin Leonard in a playoff to become the oldest winner in the Lake Buena Vista, Fla., tournament's history.

Ames was calm and cool on greens that were too slick for most of the field on a sun-baked day at Disney World. The Canadian finished with an 8-under 64 for the clubhouse lead, watching as McNeill (67) and Leonard (67) failed to pass him.

Sunday was the last day for players to secure a tour card for next year. Jimmy Walker and Nicholas Thompson were the only two players to move inside the top 125 after beginning the week outside. Walker finished at No. 125.

Hong Kong Open: France's Gregory Bourdy has survived a late challenge from Rory McIlroy, 20, of Ireland, to win by two strokes and secure a berth at the European Tour's year-end championship in Dubai.

Bourdy had four birdies and a bogey in a 3-under 67 that gave him a 19-under 261 total and his third European Tour title. The win moved the Frenchman into the top 60 on the money list, qualifying him for Dubai.

McIlroy shot a 64 but faltered at the end. He missed a short putt on the 17th to fall two back.
