College plans: Committed to N.C. State.

Why the Wolfpack: The coaching staff. Coach (Dave) Doeren is a players’ coach, and State is defensively oriented.

Athletics: Three-year starter in football.

Favorite course: Math.

Plans to study: Biomedical engineering.

I was fascinated to learn: About the neurological system. It is amazing how the cells communicate.

Favorite book: The Bible.

It’s hard to believe: That we may contend for a state title after going 3-8 as sophomores.

Who epitomizes a good American? Bill Gates.

Ideal guest list: John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., Walt Disney.

Most people don’t know I: Enjoy playing the guitar.

I wish I could have been there when: Man first walked on the moon.
