Hillside still No. 5 despite 0-2 start

It is hard to believe that Durham Hillside is 0-2, but the Hornets find themselves in that position even though they still are capable of making a deep playoff run.

The Hornets dropped their opener to New Bern 12-0, and were stopped inside the 10 as time expired in a 16-13 loss to top-ranked Southern Durham last week.

Wake Forest and Millbrook won with solid performances, while Middle Creek played an outstanding second half in a 35-21 win at Fayetteville E.E. Smith after falling behind 14-0.

Apex and Carrboro break into the Top 15 this week.
