I was fascinated to learn: How the United States of America started and how it became such a powerful country.
Most inspiring teacher: Mrs. Susan Barritt, AP Calculus. She is always trying to help her students and make sure they understand.
A book that had an impact on my life was: The Bible. It teaches and guides me how to live a life for God every day.
It is hard to believe that we used to: Play football in leather helmets. And we worry about concussions now.
Helping the community: I have participated in service projects with my church, such as helping the elderly with chores/projects around their house. I have also participated with fellow National Honor Society members of my school at the Brown Bag Ministry, which puts together lunches for some of the homeless and needy in downtown Raleigh.
Who epitomizes a good American: Bill Gates. Through hard work he contributed greatly to society and technology. More importantly, he has donated a lot of the money he has made to charities for important causes such as helping the world’s poorest people.
Whose life inspires you: Josh Hamilton. Josh was headed down the wrong road and turned to Jesus Christ to turn his life around.
Three people you wish you could meet: Pat Tillman, Abraham Lincoln, Kurt Warner
Something you enjoy that would surprise people: Shopping. I’m always looking for new stuff, even if I can’t afford it.
I wish I had been there for: The Wright brothers making their first flight, or when Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in a single game.
