Apex boys' soccer had to forfeit three games it won or tied: a 5-4 win against Northern Durham, a 3-0 win against Holly Springs and a 2-2 tie to Middle Creek.

The school found that one of the player's physicals expired during the season and the Cougars played four games before he received a new one. The school notified the NCHSAA and the opposing schools.

Apex's 3-1 loss to Green Hope also came after the physical had expired, but that result does not change.

The forfeits move the Cougars from to 14-1-1 overall and 8-1-1 in the league to 12-4 overall and 7-3 in the league. Apex is still second in the Southwest Wake Athletic Conference, but the gap between it and Green Hope is now two games, and now Holy Springs is also 7-3 in the SWAC with a head-to-head win against Apex.
