Conference champions lead the way in The News & Observer wrestling rankings for the greater Triangle area. No. 1 Holly Springs has clinched the Southwest Wake 4A, and No. 3 Sanderson (Cap Eight 4A) and No. 4 West Johnston (Greater Neuse River 4A) have done the same.

Two conference races can be decided this week: No. 7 Riverside will meet No. 10 Northern Durham for the PAC-6 4A and No. 5 Orange will face No. 14 Chapel Hill for the Big Eight 3A on Wednesday.

Corinth Holders falls out of the rankings, replaced by Cleveland, which beat the Pirates 43-24 last Wednesday to force a three-way tie for first in the Two Rivers 3A with No. 11 Western Harnett.

Western Harnett has eight losses but has wins against Cleveland and No. 13 Millbrook. Cleveland has six losses, but four are by a combined seven points.
