Fourteen players who played most of their high school basketball in the Triangle will be playing in this week’s NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament. Two others are in their redshirt seasons at teams who made the field.
James Miliken, who played for Jordan-Matthews High in Siler City before two years of community college ball, is on the highest-seeded team (3-seed Creighton) listed below, but is redshirting this season. Athens Drive star Josh Davis is on the next-highest team with 5-seed San Diego State. Davis has made three stops in college: N.C. State, Tulane and now SDSU.
