Matchup to Watch
Paul Millsap vs. Marvin Williams/Cody Zeller: Millsap wore out the then-Bobcats last season with his versatility. Always an aggressive post scorer, he’s developed a complementary 3-point shot.
• Lance Stephenson’s shot will start falling – he’s not going to make 27 percent forever. He’s finding other ways to contribute, averaging a team-high 10 rebounds.
• Former Wake Forest point guard Jeff Teague has become a solid NBA player. He’s not much of a 3-point threat, but his penetration off the dribble is so hard to contain.
• The Hornets are listing small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist as probable to play vs. the Hawks. He missed the last two games with bruised ribs and hip.
• It’s crucial that the Hawks keep center Al Horford healthy after two injury-filled seasons.
