Observations

• Cavaliers rookie Anthony Bennett, the No.1 overall pick in the draft, struggled to guard without fouling during the preseason. He committed four fouls in seven minutes against the Bobcats.
• The Cavaliers signed free-agent center Andrew Bynum during the summer. Bynum played in Cleveland’s opener after missing last season in Philadelphia with a knee injury.
• This is the second of three games in four nights for the Bobcats, who will play 17 games in the season’s first 31 days.

Tap-ins

• Houston crushed the Bobcats in rebounding Wednesday, 54 to 37.
• Cavaliers big man Tyler Zeller, older brother of Bobcats rookie Cody and a former Tar Heel, played four minutes against the Nets after an appendectomy.
• The Bobcats will give away T-shirts to the first 12,000 fans through the doors.

With Bennett going first in June and Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins such a promising prospect, Canadians could be the top picks in consecutive NBA drafts.
