Matchup to Watch

Rudy Gay vs. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: One night after guarding the Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony, MKG will take on another big challenge in multi-faceted Gay.

Observations

• For the second night in a row, the Bobcats will be matched against a former point guard. Tuesday it was Raymond Felton. Wednesday it will be D.J. Augustin, who is on his third team in as many seasons. He played for the Indiana Pacers last season.
• The Bobcats have a 9-7 all-time record against the Raptors in Charlotte.
• Augustin isn’t the only ex-Pacer picked up by Toronto. Former North Carolina star Tyler Hansbrough now is a Raptors’ reserve power forward.
• The Raptors traded Andrea Bargnani to the Knicks during the offseason, giving up on a former No. 1 overall pick to off-load his salary.

Tap-ins

• This is the second of four sets of back-to-back games for the Bobcats during November.

• Al Jefferson (ankle sprain) was held out of Tuesday’s game against the Knicks, but he hadn’t been ruled out against the Raptors as of Monday.

Did you know?

The Raptors haven’t won in Charlotte since March 2010.
