• The Bobcats aren’t getting much these days from rookie Cody Zeller, the fourth overall pick in June’s draft. Zeller played 15 minutes against the Raptors, finishing with two points, two assists and a rebound. He never attempted a shot from the field.
• Bobcats coach Steve Clifford made a point of saying pre-game that Chris Douglas-Roberts would play more shooting guard, since Ramon Sessions would now start at the point. It was telling that Ben Gordon never played Monday. Gordon has sat for 11 of the last 12 games.
You have to wonder, if Gordon’s expiring contract is not dealt at the trade deadine, if it would be in everyone’s best interest to waive him as a courtesy to a veteran.• Eight of the Bobcats’ 18 victories this season have come against the Atlantic Division, by far the worst of six divisions in the NBA.
