The Charlotte Bobcats plan to re-sign veteran point guard Jannero Pargo to a second 10-day contract, an informed source told the Observer Saturday night.
Pargo was signed as a fill-in after Ramon Sessions suffered a sprained left knee. The nine-year veteran had quick impact as Kemba Walker's backup. In his first four games as a Bobcat he made 10 of his 18 3-pointers and has played tough defense off the bench.
Asked about Pargo before Saturday's home game against the Detroit Pistons, coach Mike Dunlap said, "He's a bit of a cowboy - just a fearless player.''
After this next 10-day contract the Bobcats would have to sign Pargo for the rest of the season or lose him, under NBA rules.
