Matchup to Watch

Jrue Holiday vs. Kemba Walker: Two explosive, attacking point guards having breakthrough seasons.

Observations

• The Bobcats won three of five games going into Friday night’s road game with the Knicks. The offense has been much better in that span, with the Bobcats averaging 101.6 points on 45.4 percent shooting from the field.
• The 76ers’ season took a big hit when center Andrew Bynum, acquired in an off-season megadeal, never recovered from knee injuries in time to play.
• The 76ers have won five in a row over the Bobcats and the margins haven’t been close – an average of 13.6 per victory.

Tap-ins

Former Bobcat Jason Richardson, who went to Philadelphia from Orlando, is out for the season.

• Holiday is the only player in the NBA averaging at least 18 points and eight assists.
