The Charlotte Bobcats will select fourth in the June 27 NBA draft, based on the annual draft lottery held Tuesday night in New York.
The Bobcats had the NBA’s second-worst record last season at 21-61, but slipped behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards in the lottery pecking order.
The Cavaliers won the lottery, with the NBA-worst Orlando Magic picking second and Wizards picking third.
With the fourth pick, the Bobcats could be selecting from such players as Georgetown forward Otto Porter, Indiana forward Cody Zeller or Michigan point guard Trey Burke.
It seems likely that Kentucky center Nerlens Noel and Kansas shooting guard Ben McLemore will both be gone before the Bobcats pick.
