Canes recall Sutter from Checkers

The Carolina Hurricanes announced Sunday that the team has recalled center Brody Sutter from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.

Sutter, 24, has appeared in four career NHL games with Carolina, all during the 2014-15 season.

Sutter has 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists) and 33 penalty minutes in 62 AHL games with the Checkers this season.
