The Carolina Hurricanes on Friday reassigned forwards Zach Boychuk and Chris Terry to the Charlotte Checkers (AHL) while recalling defenseman Ryan Murphy from the Checkers.

Terry played in two games during the recall and had a pair of assists in Carolina’s 4-1 win against Dallas on Thursday night. Boychuk, an emergency recall Thursday from the Checkers, had 8:06 of ice time against Dallas.

Terry and Boychuk were needed when Alex Semin and Drayson Bowman were sidelined by an illness and Jiri Tlusty was out with an injury.
