Carey Price made 32 saves to help the Montreal Canadiens take down the Washington Capitals, 3-2, at Verizon Center. Michael Cammalleri and Tomas Plekanec each had a goal and an assist, while Travis Moen also lit the lamp for the Canadiens, who have won three of their last four games. Eric Fehr and Brendan Morrison both scored for Washington, while Michal Neuvirth was charged with three goals on 22 shots for the Capitals, who had won five of six coming into the contest.

Final Score: Boston 2, Buffalo 1 (OT)

Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Patrice Bergeron's tip-in 47 seconds into overtime provided the difference, and the Boston Bruins defeated the Buffalo Sabres, 2-1, in a Northeast Division battle. Milan Lucic also scored -- his first goal of the season -- for Boston, which has won two straight to start a four-game trip after losing three straight contests. Tuuka Rask, who continues to start in place of the injured Vezina Trophy winner Tim Thomas, stopped 25-of-26 shots to earn the win. Paul Gaustad netted the only goal for Buffalo early in the first period, and the Sabres have now lost two in a row after a three-game win streak. Ryan Miller allowed two goals on 26 shots in the loss.

Final Score: Florida 2, Detroit 1 (OT)

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Bryan McCabe's goal just 40 seconds into overtime gave the Florida Panthers a 2-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena. In the extra session, Stephen Weiss sent a pass from the left point to the right circle where McCabe's one-timer beat Chris Osgood cleanly for the win. Weiss had a goal in regulation while Scott Clemmensen made 39 saves for the Panthers, who have won four of their last five games. Pavel Datsyuk scored a goal while Osgood finished the game with 18 saves for the Red Wings, who have dropped their past two games.

Final Score: Minnesota 3, NY Islanders 2

St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - Owen Nolan's second goal of the game with 1:07 to play proved to be the game-winner, as the Minnesota Wild took a 3-2 win over the New York Islanders at Xcel Energy Center. Mikko Koivu scored the other goal, while Niklas Backstrom stopped 27 shots for the Wild, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Jon Sim and Josh Bailey each had a goal while Martin Biron stopped 26 shots in the loss for the Islanders, who have dropped five of their last eight games.
