Cape Lookout/Bogue Inlet
In the backwaters and on the surf, one will find red drum. Also on the backwaters, black drum are being caught on cut shrimp bait. Offshore, there are some wahoos and blackfin tuna, and in the bottom fisheries, triggers, beeliners, and black sea bass can be found in 100-125 feet deep waters. Fishing conditions are steadily improving as the weather continues to warm up. Bass up to 15 feet are biting on jerk bait, jigs, and rattle traps.
