Earlier this week, bluefin tuna were caught near shore ranging from 354 pounds to 669 pounds. Yellowfin tuna and blackfin tuna were also caught. Fishing is now picking up inshore. On Monday, bluefish, blowtoads, sharks and sea mullets were found near shore. At the jetties and near Ramp 49, blowtoads and puppy drum were caught. Lastly, sea mullets were caught near Ramp 43 and 44. As the temperatures increase, more bluefish can be found in great numbers. Cape Lookout/Bogue Inlet
