Zlotnicki: I think the state should outlaw fishing on Sundays. Come to think of it, I think golf should be a no-no on Sundays as well. Heck, let's make all recreation on Sundays illegal.

Zlotnicki:It was a typical summer day in North Carolina, sticky hot with a breeze that didn't really help. The conditions were reflected by the flushed cheeks of Katherine Keville, but she didn't seem to care.
Long trip has nice rewards
Zlotnicki:A couple of weeks ago, I visited the Great Northwest, specifically Priest River, Idaho, for a family wedding. Not a summer vacation per se, but a chance to travel with my mom, visit with kin I rarely see, explore some new haunts and see how the Old North State compares.
Odds of winning are long
Zlotnicki:formerly Gigi Wagner -- of Frederick, Md., won the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament last year, it wasn't as though some veteran angler bested the field of 181 boats. She beat the odds.
