North Carolina FC soccer team would need to pay $150 million to join MLS

The Major League Soccer commissioner has listed the 10 cities vying for the final four spots in the league, as well as the timetable for their potential admittance. Garber listed the cities in alphabetical order: Charlotte, Cincinnati, Detroit, Nashville, Raleigh/Durham, Sacramento, St. Louis, San Antonio, San Diego and Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg.

NC’s first soccer school coming to Cary

The Accelerator School is set to launch in August at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. It will offer students a middle school education, as well as daily soccer training. The school will be associated with the Carolina RailHawks.
