Staff reports

Despite steady rain that began Tuesday night and is forecasted to last into Thursday morning, the ACC is still trying to get in first round games of the ACC Men's Soccer Championship at WakeMed Soccer Park today.

Games had been scheduled at noon, 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., but have been moved to two times, 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and both fields will be used.

At 3 p.m., Maryland and Virginia will face off and on the other field, Duke and Boston College will play.

At 5:30 p.m., Wake Forest and Clemson play on one field, while North Carolina and N.C. State play on the other.

Neither field had been covered with a tarp, said Charlie Slagle, president of the Capital Area Soccer League, which is hosting the tournament.
