Shaw, Brickey part ways

Shaw University is looking for a new men's basketball coach.

After three seasons, Robert Brickey, whose team was 5-23 this season (1-17 in the CIAA), and the administration "have mutually agreed on the non-renewal of his contract" effective today, according to a university press release.

Al Carter, director of athletics said in a statement, "We appreciate and value the dedication and contributions of coach Brickey to the athletic programming here at Shaw University. The Shaw Family extends best wishes for his continued success in all future endeavors."

The school will conduct a national search to find a replacement.
