Busy days for high schools

The busiest weekend of the high school athletic year begins today.

The N.C. High School Athletic Association conducts its 3-A track and field championships today and its 1-A championships on Saturday.

Individual tennis championships begin today and conclude Saturday.

The NCHSAA also continues playoff competition in baseball, soccer and softball today and Saturday.

The N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association will complete competition in all spring sports on Saturday.

State lacrosse championships also are Saturday.
