HITTING THE ROAD: The Durham Bulls were off Monday. They will begin a 10-game road trip today with the first of two games against the Charlotte Knights. Following the pair of games at Charlotte, the Bulls play four at Richmond and four at Norfolk.

The Bulls return home on Friday, May 30, to begin a 10-game homestand with four games against Pawtucket.

TRANSACTIONS: On Sunday, second baseman Andy Cannizaro was outrighted to Durham from the Tampa Bay Rays, and second baseman Josh Labandeira was assigned to Class A Hudson Valley. Cannizaro had been moved up to Tampa Bay on April 27. He appeared in only one game for the Rays, going 0-for-1.

Before his call-up to the majors, Cannizaro hit .292 for the Bulls in 14 games.

Labandeira hit .256 for the Bulls.
