The NBA released the official participant list for its pre-draft camp Tuesday. As expected, North Carolina's Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Danny Green were on it.

N.C. State's J.J. Hickson was not.

Wolfpack coach Sidney Lowe said last week that Hickson would attend the camp but would only get a physical. However, his name is not found under "Camp Players" or the separate list of "Skills, Strength & Agility, and Medical Testing." The latter is usually reserved for players who are considered guaranteed first-round picks.

An NBA spokesman said Tuesday that Hickson was not attending the camp, which began Tuesday and concludes Friday in Orlando, Fla.

An N.C. State spokesman said Hickson was invited but that he turned down the invitation to work out, hoping he would end up on the short list for "Skills, Strength & Agility, and Medical Testing." That didn't happen.

Lowe also said last week that Hickson will work out individually with teams after the camp. He declined to say which teams.

Duke graduate DeMarcus Nelson and Clemson graduate James Mays (who played at Garner High School) are also working out at the camp.
