closeDuke starting quarterback Thaddeus Lewis and starting cornerback Leon Wright were cited for underage possession of alcohol on 1700 E. Franklin Street in Chapel Hill on Wednesday morning at 1:51 a.m., according to police reports.
Lewis and Wright, both 20, were given breathalyzer tests at the scene and both registered a .03 blood alcohol level. Since both are under 21, they were issued the citation for underage drinking.
Lewis, a junior, threw for 2,430 yards and 21 touchdowns with 10 interceptions in 2007, his second season as the starting QB.
