The Cary RailHawks U-23 PDL team defeated Burnley FC of England's Coca-Cola Championship division 2-1 on Thursday at WakeMed Soccer Park.Zach Schilawski and Tyler Lassiter scored for the RailHawks. Wade Elliott found the net for Burnley.After a scoreless first half the Burnley Clarets scored first in the 54th minute with a midfield breakaway for Elliott who beat three defenders to slot the ball past Wake Forest and RailHawks goalie Akira Fitzgerald.Schilawski scored two minutes later with an unassisted goal off of an error from Burnley defender Graham Alexander. Lassiter sealed the deal with a beautiful diagonal rocket the top left corner of the 18-yard box.The RailHawks U-23 team returns to PDL action against the Atlanta Silverbacks at 7 p.m. July 17 at WakeMed Soccer Park.
