East-West games feature local players

The N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star Games are among the oldest high school all-star games in the country and are held in conjunction with one of the largest coaching conventions in the country.

Last year, more than 7,000 North Carolina coaches attended the 59th annual convention in Greensboro. Only Texas has a larger high school coaching association.

These are the 60th annual football and boys basketball games, the 34th annual girls basketball game and the 17th annual boys and girls soccer games.

Admission to the all-star games is $10. Students get in for $5.

BASKETBALL

TIME: At Greensboro Coliseum, girls play at 6:30 p.m. and boys follow.
