More than 1,200 hours of Olympic Games coverage is available to Time Warner Cable customers on six networks: NBC, USA, MSNBC, CNBC, Oxygen and Universal HD.

Time Warner Cable is putting Universal HD on its free HD tier for the duration of the games.

To some extent, sports will be allocated to channels by category. MSNBC will focus on softball, soccer, beach volleyball, wrestling, weightlifting, basketball and volleyball. CNBC will carry 100 hours that include boxing, softball, tennis, wrestling and badminton.

Oxygen is limited to 20 hours of gymnastics, tennis and equestrian events.

Time Warner customers can view daily highlights and the day's best events on Games Free on Demand. Standard definition content is carried on Sports on Demand, and high-definition content can be found through HD Showcase on Demand.

Two HD sports-specific channels for basketball (channel 1504) and soccer (channel 1503) will also be available.

DirectTV is carrying more than 1,700 hours of NBC Universal's Olympics coverage, including over 800 hours in HD. The basketball and soccer channels are included in the dedicated Olympics channels (750-756).

Dish Network will provide HD coverage from NBC, USA Network HD, CNBC HD and Universal HD as well as the NBC Olympic Soccer Channel (channel 99) and NBC Olympic Basketball Channel (channel 98).

In the Raleigh-Durham market, Time Warner does not carry the NBCU channel Telemundo, which is also carrying Olympics events.

Telemundo is available on Dish Network as part of the Dish Latino package, and as part of the Spanish channel package on DirecTV (channel 406).

A complete schedule of NBC Universal's Olympic coverage is available at nbcolympics.com, which is also carrying live streams throughout the day.
