MARK GANGLOFF of Charlotte finished eighth in the men's 100-meter breaststroke final in 1:00.24.

ERIKA STEWART, a Durham Jordan graduate swimming for Colombia, finished second in her heat in the women's 200 individual medley. Her time of 2:18.54 set a Colombian national record, said Paul Silver, her coach with the Marlins of Raleigh Swim Team.
