ANGIER -- Darius McKoy rushed for 246 yards, including 157 yards in the first half, in leading Harnett Central past county rival Western Harnett, 55-10 in the 3-AA East playoffs.
Central led 14-10 halftime and surged in the second half.
"We just needed to settle down and execute," Central coach Marc Morris said. "We didn't finish drives in the first half."
On the first play of the third period Brian Baker broke a 55-yard touchdown run, and the Trojans were rolling.
McKoy ran 3 and 45 yards for touchdowns. Tate Wheelin and Stephen Hales also scored in the big third quarter.
Harnett Central (12-0) is the top seed in the 3-AA East and will be at home throughout the playoffs.
It will play either Western Guilford or Wilson Hunt in the second round.
