The NFL is giving Adam "Pacman" Jones another chance.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday the suspended cornerback has been reinstated by league commissioner Roger Goodell, but will not play this Sunday or the following game on Thanksgiving. That would peg his return for Dec. 7 at Pittsburgh.
Jerry Jones said Adam Jones could return to practice Monday. The owner said the player would have "limited participation" this week, but would not be part of full-squad practices or conditioning.
Pacman was suspended Oct. 14, a week after getting into an alcohol-related scuffle with a team-paid bodyguard. He played six games after missing the entire 2007 season for the Tennessee Titans because of repeated legal troubles.
BUCS' GRAHAM OUT: Tampa Bay Buccaneers leading rusher Earnest Graham will miss the rest of the season after injuring his right ankle during last week's victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
Fourth-year pro Noah Herron was signed to fill Graham's spot on the roster.
VIKINGS' ALLEN FINED: Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen will not be suspended for a spate of late hits.
Coach Brad Childress said he was told by the NFL that Allen will be fined $25,000, but not punished further. Allen was summoned to the league office Tuesday to talk about his play.
Allen was fined $50,000 for two late hits earlier this month on Houston quarterback Matt Schaub and against Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers
LAWYER SAYS 3 SAINTS TOOK NO STEROIDS: The lawyer for three New Orleans Saints players facing suspension says none of them took steroids. The three were accused of taking a banned diurectic and went before an NFL appeals hearing Tuesday.
David Cornwell represents running back Deuce McAllister and defensive linemen Will Smith and Charles Grant. He said the doctor who administers the steroid program testified that he did not inform players that the substance they took contained bumetanide.
Bumetanide is a diuretic used in weight loss and is considered a masking agent for steroids.
BROWNS' WINSLOW HURT: Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow sustained a sprained right shoulder in Monday night's win over the Buffalo Bills, an injury unlikely to keep him out for an extended period.
BENGALS' PLACE CHATMAN ON IR: The Bengals placed receiver Antonio Chatman on injured reserve, three days after he suffered a neck injury during the game against the Eagles.
